Aim of the Course:
To enable the students to understand the main principles of Nyayasastra.
Objectives of the Course:
(1) To acquire awareness of Nyaya philosophy
(2) To enable he students to understand the methods of Nyaya philosophy.
Course Outline:
Module-I
Introduction to Nyaysastra. Founder, his date, place etc.. Commentaries on Nyayasutra, the methods used for the arrangement of the topics.
Module-II
Categories of Nyaya philosophy
Module-III
Theories of knowledge accepted by Nyaya philosophy
Module-IV
Definition of prameyas in Nyaya philosophy.

Nyayasutra of Gautama with Vatsyayana Bhashya
